Description
The large double flowers of Fuchsia 'Queen of Bath' are pretty in pink. The tube and sepals are deep pink, with the corolla being a lighter pink. This fuchsia has a vigorous, upright, bushy habit, and makes a good standard subject.
Bred by Oliver Colville, UK in 1967.
- Plant out from late May all through the summer.
- Hardy once established.
- Suitable for potting on or, dependent on time of year, planting straight into the garden.
- Late autumn garden planting should be avoided as the plants will not have time to establish before the winter.
- If grown in containers and left outside all winter they may not prove fully hardy as container growing does not afford the same level of root protection as growing in the ground.
- In severe winters additional protection may be required for plants in the ground or left outside in containers. We suggest covering the plant with straw then inverting a large pot or bucket over it to provide further protection.
