Description

Fuchsia Blue Bush has gorgeous medium-sized flowers, which is known for being a strong grower. The tube and sepals are a lovely rosey red, complemented by the bluebird blue corolla. Upright and vigorous in habit, it produces plenty of self-branching growth. Reaches a height of 48" (120 cm) and makes an excellent hedge.

Bred by Clifford Gadsby, UK in 1967. It's parents are Leonora, W P Wood and F Magellanica va Alba.

Plant out from late May all through the summer.
Hardy once established.
Suitable for potting on or, dependent on time of year, planting straight into the garden.
Late autumn garden planting should be avoided as the plants will not have time to establish before the winter.
If grown in containers and left outside all winter they may not prove fully hardy as container growing does not afford the same level of root protection as growing in the ground.
