Description
One of the deepest purple fuchsias available, Blacky is simply stunning.
It has deep purple ruffled petals or corolla that give the illusion of black with bright pink sepals in Summer on these lovely large flowers, this fuchsia will steal your heart it's so pretty, let it brighten up your garden whether it be in a pot or in your flower bed.
It has a semi bush habit and reaches 28" (70 cm) tall with a spread of approximately 16" (40 cm) with a slight trailing habit.
- Flowers Spring to Autumn.
- Plant out from late May all through the summer.
- Hardy once established.
- Prefers a full sun or partial shade position.
- Free draining soil.
- Suitable for potting on or, dependent on time of year, planting straight into the garden.
- Late autumn garden planting should be avoided as the plants will not have time to establish before the winter.
- If grown in containers and left outside all winter they may not prove fully hardy as container growing does not afford the same level of root protection as growing in the ground.
