Description
Fruiting late July / early August, the fruit of Werdavia has a pale yellow-white colour often tinged pink. The fruits have a sweet but tangy taste making them perfect for jams, jellies and preserves; allow the fruit to fully ripen and they are simply gorgeously sweet eaten straight from the bush.
Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
- Harvest from early July.
- Self fertile.
- In bush form 'Werdavia' is best planted 5 x 5 feet (1.5 x 1.5 metres) apart and kept at around 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) tall.
