A display of dropping flower heads in colours of deep purple and white with orange stamens in the centre of the large droppy leaves. Thin, green upright leaves growing around the Pulsatilla Vulgaris Heiler Hybrid heads.

Description

These plants have a beautiful colour range of red, white, blue, lavender and purple with yellow centres complete with a fern like foliage and will really look at home in a rockery or the front of a border to give you some 'cheering up' earlier in the season.

These plants got their name 'Pasque' as they frequently flower over Easter (passover).

Blackfoot Indians are said to have used this plant to induce abortion (so we don't recommend you eat it).

These plants do not like root disturbance so it is advisable to plant them in their final location.

A member of the Ranunculaceae family.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

Hardy.
Herbaceous perennial.
Likes a full or part sun position.
Prefers well drained soil, these are drought tolerant.
Doesn't like a rich soil.
Great in rock gardens.
Flower March to April.
Plant 12" (30 cm) apart.
