Description

Described as a white grape, the ripe fruit is actually a blue-grey colour ('gris' is French for grey). Whilst originating from France, it is probably most famous in Italy where it is known as Pinot Grigio - as is the wine made from it.

Originally from France.
Mid-season fruit ripening.
Winter wood ripening is good - so can be grown both outdoors or under protection (greenhouse, polytunnel or conservatory).
Can be trained using either the cane replacement method or spur pruning.
Self fertile.
Fruit contains seeds.
