Description
Originating from France, this ancient variety has several differently coloured clones. In Germany it is known as Gutedel, whilst in Switzerland it is known as Fendant and is their most widely grown wine grape.
Producing golden white grapes with a sublimely sweet flavour, this is an excellent variety for the UK climate and can be grown outside as well as under protection. It is perfect for eating as well as for juicing or wine.

- Late-season fruit ripening.
- Winter wood ripening is fair so can be grown both outdoors or under protection (greenhouse, polytunnel or conservatory).
- Can be trained using either the cane replacement method or spur pruning.
- Self fertile.
- Fruit contains seeds.
