Dwarf French Bean Seed Dior

Description

A lovely lemon yellow wax bean, usually reaching approximately 5" (12 - 14 cm) in length. It has a compact habit so can easily be grown in pots or the open ground, inside or out, producing a good yield.

These delicious, crunchy, French beans can be eaten raw or cooked as with any other 'normal' French bean, these just have the added advantage of being yellow, which they don't loose when you cook them, and gorgeous!

The plants reach approximately 18" (45 cm) tall and have green leaves, white flowers which are followed by yellow beans and do not require support, but may benefit from some short canes.

• Sow under glass from February onwards (requires a minimum of 15ºC (59ºF) for germination).
• Sow direct in the ground from late May (or when ground temperatures are warm).
• We recommend sowing two seeds per station.
• Plant out 10" (25 cm) in rows 30" (75 cm) apart.
• Harvest from July to October.
• Plants reach 18" (45 cm) tall.
• Like a full sun position.
• Need free draining soil.
• We recommend protecting from slugs!
