Bean Seeds
The common bean is thought to have originated in Mexico. There are many different types of beans, with many different names (even when they mean the same one!) so it can all get a little confusing. Over time many beans have been bred to become more 'stringless' making them more pleasureable to eat, this particularly includes runner beans (fondly known to the older generations amongst us as 'string beans') and French beans (often refered to as haricot verts).
All beans are full of much nutrien and are very good for our health, including our gut health; the fresher you eat them the better (or if you simply can't keep up the quicker you freeze them the better!)
Beans are part of the legume or Fabaceae family and not only are they good for us, but they are good for the ground and soil in which you grow them as they fix nitrogen back into the soil once they have finished producing beans. So growing your own beans from seeds, that are naturally produced is a win, win all round! Our seeds are hand packeted, DEFRA approved and dispatched from our family run business in Kent.
