Description

Also known as Japanese Pumpkin, Kabochas are probably the best squashes there are so far as winter keeping qualities are concerned.

Trailing in habit, each plant will produce 6 fruits each weighing around 4 lbs (2.2 Kg). Dark green skins, striped pale green, are exceptionally thick - which is probably why these 'keep' so well. But once inside you will find a gorgeously rich golden-orange flesh that is deliciously sweet.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
