Description

Also called Dragonwort. No oneis sure whether this relates to its fiery tang or from its serpent-like roots but Tarragon is believed to cure bites from venomous creatures. However, nowadays it is primarily used for cooking!

A few leaves shredded into scrambled egg can raise this simple dish to a new level.

Leaves are rich in essential iodine, and vitamins A and C, as well as trace elements and beneficial mineral salts. In time gone by, chewing the root of Tarragon was claimed to cure toothache.
