Description
Originating from France, this ancient variety has several differently coloured clones. In Germany it is known as Gutedel, whilst in Switzerland it is known as Fendant and is their most widely grown wine grape.
Rosy-red grapes have a sublimely sweet flavour, perfect for rosé style wines; it's a lovely, sweet eating grape too. This is an excellent variety for the UK climate and can be grown both outside as well as under protection.

- Late-season fruit ripening.
- Winter wood ripening is fair - so can be grown both outdoors or under protection (greenhouse, polytunnel or conservatory).
- Can be trained using either the cane replacement method or spur pruning.
