Description
Fuchsia 'Pink Ballet Girl' has beautiful, large double flowers, reminiscent of a dancer's skirts. The tube and sepals are scarlet in colour while the corolla is pink flushed with blue. This free-flowering fuchsia has a vigorous, upright, trailing habit.
Looks similar to Lena and Gypsy Queen and was bred in the UK.
- Plant out from late May all through the summer.
- Hardy once established.
- Suitable for potting on or, dependent on time of year, planting straight into the garden.
- Late autumn garden planting should be avoided as the plants will not have time to establish before the winter.
- If grown in containers and left outside all winter they may not prove fully hardy as container growing does not afford the same level of root protection as growing in the ground.
- In severe winters additional protection may be required for plants in the ground or left outside in containers. We suggest covering the plant with straw then inverting a large pot or bucket over it to provide further protection.
Please Note: Given the current time of year and weather our fuchsia plants need to be overwintered and protected from frost until late Spring (or when the night time temperatures have warmed up).
