Description
Introduced in 2007 this chilli seed will produce yellow brain-shaped fruits with a lot of heat! This Trinidad 7 pod Brain Strain Yellow is similar to the red but has more of a tropical hint, with a flavour more like pineapplest.
These chillies ripen from green to yellow and have a bumpy complexion. One of the hottest in the world with a Scoville rating of more than 1.4 million.
It is said that one fruit can spice 7 pots of stew (but I guess that depends on how hot you like it!!!)
To ensure good germination a constant compost temperature of 82° - 86° f (28° - 30° C) is recommended. Germination can be slow and take three weeks or more.
- Plants can reach 3 feet (1 metre) tall.
- Heat level: Volcanic - approximately 1,400,000 SHUs.
