- Eating Apple.
- A lovely sweet-sharp flavoured variety that becomes sweeter in storage; juices well.
- Self-fertile.
- M26 rootstock.
Supplied as a bare root tree pruned to approximately 3 - 4 feet (90 - 120cm) tall including roots.

Description
An extremely versatile variety with a real heritage sweet-sharp taste. Primarily for eating it can also be cooked and is excellent for juicing. Stores well, becoming sweeter the longer it is stored.
- Season of use October-December.
- First introduced 1770, France.
- Self-fertile - but pollination by another apple will maximise yield.
- Grown on M26 rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 12-15ft (3.65-4.6 metres) but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8ft (1.8-2.4m).
Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
Recommended by the RHS to assist in encouraging bats into the garden as the flowers are likely to attract moths and other night-flying insects which bats love to eat!
