Description
A favourite in Victorian times for both cool conservatories and terrace urns alike.
Rich, green strap-like evergreen foliage slowly creeps across the ground. Come midsummer, arching spikes of rich blue (or on rare occasions white) flowers appear. A most attractive plant that will need protection in the event of severe frost. A lovely thing in every way.
- Flowers late summer.
- Grows to approximately 12" (30cm) tall.
- Flower spikes rise to approximately 4 feet (120cm) tall.
- Thrives in full sun.
- Happy in most soil types including poorer soils.
- Plant 3 feet (90cm) or more apart as these will spread, albeit slowly.
